How do I install the extension / plugin for SketchUp?

The way to install SketchUp plugins depends on the file extension in which the plug-in was downloaded. The most frequent files are * .rbz [Windows and Mac] as well as * .exe [Windows] or * .dmg [Mac]. You can also find plugins consisting of a file in * .rb format and an attached [Windows and Mac] folder. Below you will find a description of the various installation methods.

The easiest way to install the plugin is to use the Extension Warehouse tool, which is available in SketchUp. You can get to it by clicking Window> Extension Warehouse. It allows you to find and install a specific plug-in via the install button. This button is active after logging in. Using the Extension Warehouse requires logging in. You can do this by using a Gmail account.
The second way to install plug-ins is applicable in a situation where the plug-in has been downloaded to a computer via a web browser (not as in the case of Extension Warehouse by SketchUp) in * .rbz format. Then, depending on the version of SketchUp, click:
SketchUp in 2016 and older versions: Window> Preferences> Extensions> Install extension and indicate downloaded file in * .rbz format
SketchUp in version 2017: Window> Extension Manager> Install extension and indicate downloaded file in * .rbz format
The third method applies to extensions that consist of a file in * .rb format and a folder. The file and folder should be packed in * .zip format, then its extension from * .zip to * .rbz should be changed. For example, the plugin.zip file should have the name plugin.rbz. The handling of files in the rbz format is described in point 2.
The last way to install Sketchup cena extensions applies to the * .exe [Windows] or * .dmg [Mac] format. These files are typical installation files that just need to be run from the operating system.

Design program

Anyone who thinks about tying their future with the interior design industry will sooner or later have to face the choice of a suitable design program. In this post I will try to introduce you to those with whom I had contact or heard about them from friends. At the beginning you have to realize that visualizations can be done in various applications, in such typical interior design or for creating 3D models yourself. Each of them has both pros and cons, so you need to think about what you expect from a given program. We encourage you to familiarize yourself with the ZWCAD program as a cheaper alternative to Autocad
